Antonino Fonti-Bonese came to Australia with his mother Carmela and brother Vincenzo when he was 18. His father Rosario arrived earlier in 1955. Antonino attended TAFE to complete his carpentry apprenticeship. He later became a Registered Builder. In 1969 he married Rita Spinella. They had two children, Carmela & Chitteena.
