Giovanni went to work at 'Cardo' Station for the prominent marino stud breeder Lesley Keamy who had migrated from Lebanon in 1891. Lesley took a liking to Giovanni & offered to pay the fare so he could bring his family out. They arrived on 23/08/1954 & also went to live at ‘Cardo'.
