Worked on farms and in the bush near Cartmeticup - hard times, far cry from life in England. Love of bush a lasting legacy. Married 1931 Beatrice Munday, teacher small bush schools. Moved Albany 1932, working at Albany Woollen Mills. Later lived Mahogany Creek on his orchard property.
