  • It seems unlikely that George James Everett accompanied his convict father on the Pyrenees in 1851. George would only have been 9 at the time. George's funeral notice in The West Australian on 30 June 1815 states that he was 73 years old and had been a colonist for 52 years. This indicates an arrival in 1863, when George would have been 21. A G. Everett is listed as a passenger on the Palestine, which arrived in Fremantle on 14 January 1863.
