Originally from Dessau, East Germany. Family fled Russian occupation to Bavaria to Reisach near Wasserburg. Difficult years after the war in search of work. Rudi moved family to Hemsbach. Situation did not improve an dfamily decided to emigrate. Immediately Rudi found work at BP Kwinana. A bright future lay ahead.
