Serantis Emmanuel arrived in Australia in 1927 and in 1932 when he had enough money he brought the family out from Greece. They lived in a white washed bagged walled house at the 26 mile peg in Wanneroo where they had a market garden. Six years later they purchased a property in Charles St, North Perth, and built the Wanneroo Bakery.
