Gil, Joyce and children, Yvonne, Howard and Patricia arrived from the UK in 1958. In 1959 Maxine was born. The family settled in Doubleview. Gilbert was a printer until retirement. Sadly Gilbert passed away in 2000, but his wish for a better life for his family certainly came true.
