Ante was asked to 'open the floor' after a photo of him dancing on the first night at sea was published in the ship's daily newsletter. He married Spasenka Vidošević by proxy. They met at a dance, months before he left for Australia. They have 2 children and await their third grandchild. They still love to dance.

The island Dad was born on was Otok Šolta. He married the beautiful Spasenka Vidošević by proxy. They ended up with four grandchildren. Ante passed away at the age of 72 on 17th February, 2017. He is buried in Fremantle Cemetry. Laka ti zemlja Tata.
