Gladys Edwards was born Gladys Shuttleworth on 7 July, 1909 in Lancashire, England; she died on 16 July, 1973 and was cremated at Karrakatta, her ashes being partially scattered on Rottnest & partly returned to the Anglican church in Longridge, Lancashire, where she & my father were married in 1932. She was a trained primary school teacher & was for many years headmistress of the Preparatory School of Methodist Ladies College in Claremont, Perth. She was known throughout her life as Judy.
