Joan emigrated with her parents William & Bess & six siblings. Her schooling was at the Tingledale School & in 1945 she married Alfred Tindale. They lived on their dairy farm on Tindale Road, Kentdale via Denmark, raising their seven children, Jean, Margaret, Bruce, Eric, Susan, Marion & Colin.
