  • My maiden name is Turid EDEMA and I was born in Ceylon (Sri Lanka). I am in Amsterdam at the moment and curious as to my ancestors that I think came from Friesland. This would have been in the 1600's (I think).

  • My name is Klaas, a name I took from my father, who was one of Engelinus' two brothers, the other one being Simon.

The Edema family originates from the north/eastern part of the Dutch province of Friesland.
