1945 he was sent to a German camp. In 1946 he was transferred to a French camp. In 1948 he was transferred to back to the German camp and in 1949 he was sent to Naples camp in Italy. On July 1949 he left Napoli by ship to come to Australia, arriving in Fremantle 13/08/1949.
