Arrived alone in Fremantle from Lincolnshire, aboard BRITOMART, 04/12/1838. Married Edmund Wright's widow, Caroline, 13/02/1850, (nee Porley). Publicans and farmers in York district. Raised 6 children - Annie, William, George, Lewis, Walter and Emma, on their farm “Brocklesby” on the outskirts of York. William died in York on 06/10/1884. Caroline also died in York on 09/07/1897.
