Bill's first job - clearing land at Hyden. Returned to family in Perth when son Tom became ill a couple of months later. Family moved to Yoongarillup for about 18 months before settling in Cowaramup (Group Settlement 12) in 1928. They had 3 more children - Daphne, Beryl and Colin.
