Read their story

Jozef and Irene were married in Frankfurt, Germany in 1945. Having met in Germany during the war, Jozef & Irena were each removed from their respective towns by the Germans in 1941 and transported to Germany to work as forced labour. Jan (John) & Zdzislawa (Jean) were born in Germany. The family rmianed in Germany as Displaced Persons until 1949 when their migration to Australia was approved.
