Edward Bruce born Barbados. May Isabel nee Wragge born London. Edward NW Mounted Police in Canada then British Army in India etc. May educated in France then lived Darjeling, India till marriage. Couple settled in Bunbury, WA early twentieth century. Had one son, one daughter.

  • I am thinking that this man was my great-grandfather. If anyone knows more about this family, I would appreciate knowing more.

    My father's name was William Romain Spiers and his mother's name was Elinor Bruce-Drayton before she married George Spiers. She had at least one and maybe more brothers. Her mother and father apparently came to Australia because her own father was of a higher social and military standing and her family was not pleased with her decision. My grandmother had a daughter Christina who married a Bill Rockcliff and she had younger twin brothers, William (Bill) and Edward (Ted). Their parents divorced, I believe, soon after the twins were born and lived in Busselton.
