Wilfred and Gertrude Dowsett, both teachers, emigrated from the UK immediately after their marriage, living in NSW until 1941, then Tasmania until 1951, and finally in WA, where Wilfred had lectured in Economics at UWA. They are survived by 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandsons.
