William Gordon Douglas emigrated from Glasgow Scotland ahead of his wife Mary Fenwick Douglas and their children John, James, Stewart, Allan and Margaret. Another daughter Isobel was born a couple of years later. William worked as a Boilermaker at the Midland workshops for many years and passed away in 1952.
