Raffaele left Italy to start a new life to provide for his wife & two sons. On arriving in Fremantle he boarded a truck and was sent to Pinjarra to clear land. After three years he bought land in West Swan, built as a dwelling & planted grape vines & olive trees. Ten years later wife and sons arrived.
