Read their story

Rose came to WA as the fiancée of Frank Quartermaine, a fighter pilot with the RAAF during the 2nd World War. Rose who was a WAF (English Womens Air Force) met Frank in England and fell in love. She came over with other "War Brides" and settled in Northam on the family's wheat and sheep farm. Frank paid é£150 for her passage on the troop transport Asturias.
