Currently, I am writing a biography and video documentary of this extraordinary man, Mr Esad Djulbic as a part of History of WA Bosnians project. I knew Esad and I do have photos and videos and almost a full life story information. If anyone else would like to add any other info, photo, it would be much appreciated . Safet M

I arrived in Australia from Scotland in 1952 and lived in a house in Cyril Street, Bassendean diagonally opposite Esad and Vera Djulbic’s land which I think was on Guildford Road.
Angie was their only child at that time. She was a little younger than me. She was one of my first playmates in my new country.
The family lived for awhile, although I don’t remember exactly how long, In a tent on their property. Mr Djulbic’s cement mixer was busy as he built his family’s home.
Vera his wife was a lovely woman and always kind to me. She was a good cook and introduced me to the joys of her culinary delights. I was particularly fond of her delicious cucumber salad which I copied and made for my family to taste!
Angie’s grandparents eventually visited and I met them.
I didn’t have a close friendship with Angie but we did see each other sometimes in school holidays.
I left Bassendean when I was 13 and lost touch with Angie and her family.
I’m delighted that they are being remembered and would be really interested in reading the biography of Esad Djulbic when it is completed.
