Augusto & wife, Modesta managed a hotel in Italy called the 'Punta Rossa'. Augusto was also the head chef there in San Felice Circeo. He came to Fremantle on 6th January 1961 with his family aboard the CONTE GRANDE. After settling in WA he worked around Perth as a chef for many years. In 1972 he bought a Liquor Store in East Perth called 'Lord Street Liquor' that he operated with Modesta and his two boys, Riccardo and Davide.
