Read their story

Antonio departed from Napoli in November 1951 and arrived in December. He left Italy as it was difficult to find employment, and to make a new life for his family. Initially he lived in boarding houses. He eventually found employment in York clearing land and erecting fencing. He worked up north until his family arrived in November 1953.
