In 1926 Carmelo Conti sponsored Francesco to Perth where he worked on his market gardens in Wanneroo. Some years later Francesco took up some land in Karragullen & started an orchard of his own. After several trips back to Rocella his wife Vincenza & children immigrated to Perth in 1950.

Francesco Di Dio was my Grandfather. He was married to Vicenza Pillera (d 1985) and they had five children. Philippo Didio (d 1952?) Antonio (d 2002) Salvatore, Maria (d 1992) and Angela.
1. Philipo was the only member of the family who did not migrate to Australia. He married in Rocella to Salvatora Baeli (d).
2. Antonio Di Dio married Fotini and they had two children Vikki , married to Frank L' Abbate (two boys, Vince and Matthew). Frank, married Linda (three children Daniel, Tayla and Gemma.
3. Salvatore Di Dio married Rosina and they had three children Frank, Joe and Sonia. Sonia married Frank Ventrelli (two children)
4. Maria Didio married Andrea Viola and they had two children Vince (married to helen Mitchell, four children, Andrew, Helena, Daniel and Anthony) and Frank (married to Christine).
5. Angela Di Dio, married Renato Casotti and they had one child , Giovanni (John) married to Linda

Correction:
Maria Didio married Andrea Viola and they had two sons ENZO (1952) (married to Helen Mitchell, four children, Andrew, Helena, Daniel and Anthony) and Frank (1959) (married to Christine)no children.

Francesco DiDio was my Grandfather. He was married to Vincenza Pillera (d 24/8/1985) and they had five children. Giuseppe (d 24/6/1950) Antonio (d 2002) Salvatore, Maria (d 1992) and Angela.
1. Giuseppe was the only member of the family who did not migrate to Australia. He married in Rocella to Salvatora Baeli (d).

1. GIUSEPPE (Pippino) was the only member of the family who did not migrate to Australia. He was married to Salvatora (Turra) Baeli (d) in Roccella shortly after WW2.
