Migrated in 1913, travelled by train to Southern Cross, walked 22 miles to Marvel Loch and Burbridge mines before travelling to Eastern Goldfields until 1924. Woodcutter for pumping station on pipeline at Cunderdin awaiting his bride. Married in April 1924, later moved to Gigai then Ghooli before taking up land at North Badallin in 1932 at peak of depression. Cleared the land, helped by his wife and children then retired and moved to Perth in 1959 where he lived until his death in September 1883.
