Nicola Del-Re was 35 years old when he arrived in Fremantle & settled in Nannup in WA's southwest region. He worked at the local timber mill as a forklift driver, and in his spare time he repaired shoes for friends & family, as this was his trade back in Pollutri. In 1964 the family moved to Perth, & he commenced work as a bread carter until he retired in 1985.
