Times in Italy were difficult post war. Gino arrived aged 36 to work, earn money for his family in Italy. In Collie Gino met Maria Pianezzola who was widowed and married her in 1960. Gino, Maria and her daughter Eliana settled in Collie. They had 3 daughters Rosanna, Marisa and Geny.
