After a rough passage across the Indian Ocean, an unknown woman onboard the 'Fairsea' suggested I should join the Navy as I hadn't suffered seasickness. Seven years later, I took her advice. Thirty five years later, I returned to Fremantle as a Commodore to head up the Navy in WA.
