1926 left England and went to Group Settlement Locations 2177 Margaret River and 689 Witchcliffe and joined the army in 1941. Married Winifred Amelia Walker in 1942 - 2 daughters. 1946 joined the WA Govt Railways until retirement in 1979. In retirement enjoyed volunteer work with the local Citizens Association.
