Alfred born in Burma 1915. Moved Penang 1931 then Singapore 1935. Married Sybil Desker (nee de Souza born Singapore 1921) in 1948. Husband Julian had died during Japanese occupation. Alfred studied civil aviation in Melbourne 1956. Retired Singapore 1970. Left Singapore in 1971 with Sybil, Hilary, Penny, Gerry and Andy. Roy and Colin Desker migrated in 1975 and 1976 respectively.
