Maria De Martin who was left a widow with two young daughters, sailed out from Italy with her youngest daughter Ada to meet up with her oldest daughter Augusta, who was married and settled in Kalamunda. Sadly Maria died 2 years after arriving in Perth at the age of 59 years.
