Moved with parents to Gnowangerup in 1955. Finshed schooling at Salt River school in 1960. Worked locally prior to taking over parents' and brothers' farm when married in 1980 to Elizabeth Anne Aylmore from Tambellup. Sold farm in 1997, moved to Albany with son and daughter. Purchased Hammers retail store.
