Abel & Tetje migrated to WA with their four childrrn and moved to Brookton in 1953 where their fifth children was born. Abel worked as a farmhand before purachasing a farm in Gnowangerup in 1955. They farmed successfully with their sons Jacob and Walter before retiring to Albany in 1979.
