George and Elsie Day [aged 40 and 41 years] arrived with their six children: Ivy 20, Ruby 18, Donald 16, Norman 12, Sybil 8, and Robert [Tony] 5 years. George was a tailor and the family settled permanently at 59 Pearse Street, Cottesloe. Tony once said that he loved Australians so much he could eat them!
