  • Richard was one of 10 children born to Charles Henry & Mabel Elizabeth Darrington in Great Barford, Bedfordshire. He was a twin to Jean, sadly their mother died in 1923 when they were less than a year old.A truly sad story of epic proportion.Dicks' older brother Eric Charles married my fathers sister Ivy Gamble.
