My parents & three young children came out from Devon as city people & were put out in tents at Denmark to become farmers. The huge trees were to be felled to make way for farming. It was very hard work & most of the group 114 gave up & came into Albany to find work. I was only three when we left Devon.

  • My Great Grand Parents, Walter & Emily Passfield, with sons Walter & Alfred, and daughter Emily, were on the same Ship, the diogenes, which left England on 18/10/1923 and arrived Fremantle at end of November 1923. They went to Peel Settlement Group 68 Loc 732(Where Settlers Hill, Baldivis is now). They swapped in 1927 to Group 35 Loc 264(Mundijong)
