Educated at Victoria School, Kurseong & Bishop Cotton School, Nagpur, India. Studied at Dairying Institute, Bangalore. In the RAMC serving in Iraq in WW2. Migrated to Perth. Nursed TB (tuberculosis) patients at Wooroloo Sanitorium. Worked at Royal Perth Hospital from 1949-1977 as an orderly in Radiology unit and then as a darkroom assistant.
