William Curtis had a friend, Mr Windsor, and during conversation about Australia mentioned women were needed on farms in WA and he was willing to nominated two of William's daughters. So it was in 1923 Leah & Doris, seeking adventure decided to pack their bags for The Land Down Under. They never saw their parents again.
