Arrived in Fremantle aged 16 and moved to Manjimup to be with his father Felice and work on a tobacco farm. Moved back to Fremantle in 1955 and became a painter/decorator. Married in 1967 to Giuseppina and and has three sons Felice, Joe and Luciano.
