Read their story

After a long career in the Royal Navy, William White Cross of Plymouth took his wife Mary Annie nee Dixon & daughters, Eileen, Peggy, Emma Patricia & Mary to a new life in Western Australia. After their arrival in Albany, they travelled by train to Denmark, then onto Group 113 at Parryville. Under many difficult circumstances, the family carved out a potato farm from the sword grass swamps. Later they & another daughter, Rona & their extended families centered their lives in Albany.
