Jim was impressed with Perth enroute home to New Zealand following WW2. Returning in 1956 with Joan and 3 young daughters, he became Assistant Registrar of UWA and was instrumental in establishing WA's first medical school. Daughters Susan, Margie and Judy married John Bremner, Brian Bolton and Geof Church.
