Started work at 14 years of age at Balwins Electrical Engineers. Joined Air Force at 18 yrs of age. Arrived in Australia after Air Force aged 21. Worked for the SEC 1 year then employed by businesses, first in Harvey then in Bunbury. Mother and sister emigrated in November 1948.
