This gentleman is my ancester on my grandfather Harry Hyde side. He also lived in 45 Market Street in Guildford. Died a poor man of 46 years, although on his original application to come out to the colony he was aged 40 years. The coloney was poor and young. He also had to have other work in the Guildford area, such as the landing barges etc. for stores going up to York etc.

I have a book my Grandfather Henry Hyde (Harry), who was a builder in Bassendean had written on Dr Cowcher and other ancestors - early settlers, but like most of our family we were all born in Guildford. Dr Cowcher was my grandfather's grandfather. My ancester was Jane Cowcher, who married John Hyde, who was drowned with his brother off Carnac Island. Esther Grogan - I can be reached on FB

Hi everyone, Dr Cowcher is my fourth great grandfather, I am descended via his daughter Eliza Ann, whom married Daniel Sloan. I would be interested to discuss a photo that I have seen in two books, one says it is the Dr and another says it is his son, the book that says it is his son is by the family, however the other is on early Dr's in WA and is much earlier than the family book. Dr George Stanyford Cowcher my 4th Great Grandfather.
I have attached an image of him. I have also been able to track back further the 1st male in each family to the 1500's in France
