After arrival Roy Cowan secured a position on Koolan Island as a fitter. Family - Doreen, Lori, Stephen and Dana followed six months later. Roy and Doreen retired in 1984. Lori went to Queensland and married. Dana went to Perth. Stephen stayed on Koolan with his own family till it's closure in 1992.
