Had three sisters & five brothers. One brother played soccer for Derby County, Liverpool & England. Joined brother's Sam & Bill in WA. Worked for Sam, truck driving in Galena & later Lake Brown. Played soccer, ran, played tennis & loved dancing. 1939 joined RAAF until 1945. Married Edith Trotman in 1940 & had three children.
