Wayside Inn licence at Katrine & Post Office 1842. Established 'Arrino' on Irwin River. Invested in mining & agriculture. Father of Nathanial Cooke, explorer in NW of WA.

John Taylor Cooke was baptised in Brighton,East Sussex,England on May 29th 1808.We are not aware of any evidence to support the claim that he was born in Yorkshire
