Read their story

Jumped off American whaling ship Mayflower. Helped build vessels 'Chance', 'Vulcan', 'Emma Sherratt' & 'Fairy'. The 'Fairy' vessel controversy is written about in the typescript (by Greta Kuchling) available in the Albany Library History Collection, the Battye Library & The Royal WA Historical Society. 1846 in partnership in a whaling venture for one season at Albany. Built 1st Canning Bridge, Applecross, Perth, 1849. Three plaques: Murray St Perth, East Perth Cemeteries & Canning Bridge. Refer to "Early Days" Vol 9, Pt 3, 1985 by Greta Kuchling.
