Maria with her mother (Teresa, nee Rabbone) were met at the Fremantle Port by her father Domenico Alosi whom she had never met. Educated in Wanneroo for 2 years, her English was invaluable to following Italian migrants. A devout Catholic, Maria continues to work for many charities.
