Stanley Collins was formerly a Major in the British Army in India and later an Engineer for a sugar mill in Gopalpur. On the Stratheden he was accompanied by his wife Elma then 48, and his children Jennifer then 14, Ian then 8 and Michael then 5. They settled in Perth.
