Escaped war-torn England on a 'childrens ship'. On arrival lived with Uncle George & Aunt Beatrice Fenny & family. Worked as a clerk at Midland Workshops. Joined RAAF there during recruiting drive. Trained in South Australia. Returned to England with RAAF as navigator to help RAF against Germans shot down and killed over Hamburg, Germany.
